The country travel is safe Bolivia

On the current security situation in Bolivia

Over the country travel Bolivia in recent times are few positive messages have been disseminated. Therefore presumably many wonder whether it is currently possible and to take responsibility is to get the country. This is not entirely unjustified doubts, I would like with this article a little scatter.

While it is true that particularly in the region around Santa Cruz and Beni Department also temporarily civil war almost similar conditions have confusion. These areas were a really long time or only under large delays as well. But now the situation has calmed down there as far as that again, more or less normal state is, after all.

In the highlands around La Paz, the preferred travel area for trekkers and climbers, there were virtually no riots. Any protests ran very peacefully and were restricted to short-term closures of roads, mostly within the city. I have the full period in Bolivia delayed - without even a single time to have seen violence or even affected by protests have been fulfilled. Foreigners are from the rival groups usually left out of the first and treated kindly. This practice, I could even in previous years for road blockades repeatedly observed.

This means Bolivia is still a relatively safe country to travel safely and to designate as well, if certain basic rules are observed. But the greatest danger is from the really skilful pickpockets from armed attacks are very rare.

I therefore warn against excessive caution and it can be scenic and culturally diverse and impressive travel the country in good conscience continue to recommend unconditionally. Although some reports or information e.g. the Foreign Office argue the opposite, arguing the statements I tend to think of someone who is on the ground and in the middle of the country lives and there is very much underway.

Obviously, the situation continues to worsen at any time. Many disputes sit deep and are far from being resolved. Nevertheless, it would be a shame, this unique natural paradise sole reason to go back.

Who questions on the current situation can always happy to contact me.

I would be happy despite everything they would soon be in Bolivia to welcome!
